Lowlander
Andersons...isn't that the shop in Peckham that served me a god-awful black coffee? Price was ok; service slow, as the bearded hipsters new glasses were probably too weak to see the customers... El Pibe
Private eye has lots of rich anonymous benefactors who encourage their stancve by more or less funding the high legal costs of their obstinacy in the face of litigation, the EDF doesn't have that luxury and ends to err on the side of caution. It'd be nice if people could respect its wishes and stop with the specific criticims of the establishment on this thread. david_carnell
There is inverse proportionality at play in Andersons. The more hipster-looking the person is who serves you, the slower the service. So laid back as to be horizontal. And a beanie indoors?! The word professionalism is obviously banned.More hilariously is the constant nipping across the road to Payless to buy ingredients they've run out of.No wonder their prices are high if they are still buying retail rather than wholesale. I gave up eating in their ages ago after yet another long wait for food that never arrived and surly service by the woman who runs the place. A loaf of bread is all I ever go in for now. Jeremy
Andersons... the cake I had the other day was great, but the coffee tasted strangely sour and "fruity"... is it just me? Sue
I'm bemused. If this thread is likely to get the forum sued, why hasn't it been removed, or reported so that it can be removed if mods haven't seen it?Apologies if somebody discussing the threat to sue has already reported it. crystalpalaceroad
A thread about coffee becomes a thread about nonsense. To get back to the point - the coffee in the Chandaliere is the best in East Dulwich. Its sourced from Monmouth who roast coffee from single farms, estates and cooperatives. Promoting sustainable, fair and equal trade. Some may not like it, but you have to pay for better quality.
