Reposession notice on marias tortilla

Noticed yesterday a reposession order on shop front door.

That's a shame as it was a nice local place that provided something different to pizzas, pasta or burgers. We are still fortunate to have a few independents such as Kartuli, Monkatsu, Evi's and Kokum but it does feel we are getting towards use them or lose them to the chains.

Has anyone contacted Maria to confirm what os going on. 

It might also be good to confirm that the notice says what is reported before we all go off at the deep end 

Hopefully its not what it appears as its a great little spot and not a chain.

Up lordship Lane today.some of the shop keepers.said there were locksmiths police and bailiffs there the premises have been repossessedif your up the lane anytime.read the notices on door.and yes maria is a lovely person she was also in tears on the day

If it’s housing, there’s good reasons to wait for the bailiffs. But with a business, I can’t think of one.

this is sad, in my experience they are both decent people.  I don't think there's anyone in hospitality in the current climate who is making money, it's a survival game for most.  shop/eat/drink in local independents or they may go.

Very sad to hear. It was a lovely place and the food was gorgeous. I hope Maria is okay. 

I use independents on Lordship Lane and Dulwich Village a lot already but will double down on my efforts. We’re so lucky to have them. Was up North for my holiday this year and so many high streets have been taken over by chains which then close and leave shops empty. It’s all really sad and really wrong.

Dear neighbours and customers,

The notes displayed on the front door of Maria’s Tortilla restaurant do not reflect reality. I’m dealing with a rogue landlord who has unlawfully instructed bailiffs entry and taken control of the premises. Im not backing down and with help from my lawyer, I’m trying to open the restaurant as soon as possible.
