Hi all,

I’m an Autism Specialist Teacher (PGCE, SENDCO, PGDip SEND & Inclusion – Autism). I’ve trained schools, families, work with local authorities, and run the National Autistic Society Family Workshops.

One of the hardest things for families is the long wait for assessments and support. Too often parents are told to “wait and see,” even though early strategies can make all the difference.

I’d like to offer weekly play-based sessions for families who don’t want to wait. We’ll focus on attention, communication, and social interaction through activities such as attention games, intensive interaction, visuals, and Makaton. Parents will also take away practical ideas to use at home.

If there is interest from a number of parents, sessions would run at an affordable group rate and are suitable for all children, with or without additional needs.

Would this be of interest?

Best wishes,
Vicky
