We are currently de-cluttering so I regularly look at the “Wanted” section to see if someone is looking for something that I may wish to dispose of in the near future.

I am amazed at the number of views for posts which appear not to have elicited a single response.  Some posts have zero responses despite recording between 1,000 and 2,000 views.  This far exceeds the number of views per individual item in the “For Sale” section.

Any suggestions?

My guess:

The For Sale board has a much higher turnaround of items being sold. Items will usually be listed on page 1 for a day.

While on the Wanted board, it will take a week or longer for your post to appear off of page 1.

I get that but what I can't figure out why someone would read a particular post for a wanted item when they don't have an item to offer?

Like on Monday, I made a post wanting a "garden bench". It got 495 views! So what would prompt 495 people to view the post if they didn't have something to offer?

To  further this research, I will adjust the header of my post and see what happens.

I can provide one data point.  I was one of the guilty who looked at that one.  I looked at it specifically to see if it might  be from the same person who had done several such bench refurbishments previously and sold them on the forum.

    • Following on from Sue's post, this document looks useful as a single information source about the continuation of the Poundland brand:   https://www.pepcogroup.eu/media-news/pepco-group-completes-sale-of-poundland/.  From it I get that Pepco, the pre-sale parent company of Poundland, will have a minority share in the business (the CH record for the acquiring company seems to me consistent with that) and that "Under this new ownership, the business will be led by Barry Williams, currently Managing Director of Poundland. The business will continue to operate under the Poundland brand in the United Kingdom (and under the Dealz brand in the Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland)."
    • That was my question about Ed Davey and has he lost the plot? Are you a Lib Dem supporter? What do you think about his speech?
