Why was it a disastrous speech? I watched the BBC news and then listened to some of the discussion and it didn't come across like this,  You clearly hate Labour and everything they stand for.  Have Your Say on the BBC website may be a better place for you to post your strong views.

Strong views?  I thought this was The Lounge so anyone could bring something up?  This is an important part of our day to day life and the Labour Party isn’t doing what they promised since their election nearly a year and a half ago.

Cancerian loves wallowing around in some right-wing pools and then dumping on here

starts a thread calling something “disastrous” with nothing to back it up and then goes all pearl clutchy with “this is the lounge!!!’”

a pox

? A pox?

Well at least David Lammy has made a grovelling apology about his comments but don’t think he’ll last or will have to resign.

There are legal problems when especially high profile individuals call other individuals racist - which or any explains Lammy backtracking

but if YOU are not able to look at Farage, his statements and his history and not see that he is a massive racist, then the problem isn’t legal but your own (poxy) brokenness

cancerian: do you think farage has a racist  bone in his body? Yes or no

You still haven't said what was wrong with his speech.  Knowing some that went to school with Farige....  No I'll stop there.

Cancerian comes in and just sprays “disgraceful” everywhere. Where challenged he has got nuthin’

Brokenness describes the state of being damaged, shattered, or emotionally distressed, affecting individuals, institutions, and systems

Accidentally posting your search terms and results  there jazzer

because there isn’t another sane explanation for what you just did

I'd never heard of the word and I thought neither might others heard of it, so I googled and posted it if that's allowed??

"Book him "Danno"

"Surely easy enough for a native like yourself "

assumptions, assumptions, assumptions, not a good starting point.

Now as we've been getting along so well, let's not spoil it. We can be the same but different as well.

I speak like a native, educated like a native, worked as and with other natives, look like a native but I'm not one of them.

See theirs this thing called indirect prejudice, have a surname that isn't that of a native and some, a minority I agree, will try and have one over on you, because they think they're better, or you're inferior to them. When you've experienced it first hand, you don't forget and get ready for the next time, then call it out, they don't like that.

They don't appreciate that being part British having been born here but as I also have  continental ancestry, which I am proud off, it gives me a different perspective of living amongst the natives here, so I can not, nor do I ever want to be a native here. I am me and they are what they are.

checked with a DC college and whilst they deny whistle blowing, apparently our Nige has an unpleasant past: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/nigel-farage-fascist-nazi-song-gas-them-all-ukip-brexit-schoolfriend-dulwich-college-a7185236.html

It would be good to hear of fans of Mr Farige to say why he has been a victim.  I'm with Lammy

How credible can this report be given that the "former friend" failed to identify himself.

Possibly & possibly but let's get the thread back on topic ie Lammy.

There is no topic - just a usual unfounded hit and run from cancerian. No his speech wasn't disgraceful and no he hasn't lost his job

What else is there to say on the matter?

(the subject of Lammy's speech is where the thread has gone and that seems logical)

So do we think the racist is a racist?

Even if he isn't (and he definitely is) , Farage is wrong about everything.

Brexit? wrong. Truss? Wrong. 2 weeks ago he was wanging on about Argentina's Milei being the future and now look at Argentina - and people want THIS for the UK??? Some people have no sense of proportionality - yes Labour have had a weak first year, but looking at the alternatives they are easily the safest ship we have to choose from right now)

More like a sinking ship than "the safest ship we have to choose from right now" . Gaff after Gaff after gaff, get calamity Starmer et al OUT at the first opportunity. You'll all soon see on November 26th when Reeves steers UK into an economic iceberg and the sinking really happens when our pockets get plundered by her, any which way she can take, take, take from us all.

We won't have anything left because the State will own and control everything, if you want to live under that type of regime, fine, but I don't, so get up and JUST SAY NO to Starmergedeon and Reevesageddeon.

chicken licken here

who else was a big fan of Javier? Oh yeah - Badenoch who said "he is the template"

the UK is not a sinking ship - it is a listing shi[p after years of mismanagement (and Brexit - lol. "the people are wise")  - your constant 26 Nov is like those religious cults in America who always have a date for the end of the world and always have an excuse when the date passes
