Mugging on Dunstans Road 12/11/25

Just a quick note that my son was mugged last night on Dunstans Road just after 6pm. Two youths on bikes with balaclavas stole his phone, headphones and driver’s license near the mansion block next to Dawson’s Heights. Please be vigilant when walking in the area after dark.

I'm sorry to hear this - there is too much of this around.

Your son did the right thing to let go of his possessions - I hope he's not too shaken up and certainly not taking it personally, or thinking he should have done something vigilante style like fighting back.

We live very close by and are usually out in the evenings with the dogs - hardly ever see anyone so will take extra care from now on.

      As for being “swept under the carpet” - the bbc is in crisis, two senior people have resigned and Trump (yknow the lying, corrupt, racist, Epstein client monster) is suing for a billion  but that is sweeping it  under the carpet? The guy behind the report criticising also misquotes Trump but you are you arent gunning for him. How curious

      Is your friend sure that it's "stuck" in the tree? Or is it just "in" the tree, having climbed up there and will climb down again? Was it showing signs of distress? It's a lovely cat! ❤️

      There has been some good discussion on this threat then you spoil it with a toxic and unhelpful post. There are plenty of people that I am not fond of on the box but I don't post on line.  By all means start your own thread on said person, or a better home would be X where others will no doubt go off on one too.

      I didn’t ignore it - as is obvious by reference to its content.  But fine. Thanks for posting the bbc link Dave  and well done you you big big man for ignoring 14 years of mismanagement to score cheap points about a bit longer than 1 year government.  A government think is doing badly but not for the reasons you cite  and I’ve been on this site for 20 years and I will happily take every single person calling me a gobshite.  But a troll I am not.  I have literally met hundreds of people face to face from this forum - sometimes one to one after online arguments. I troll no one.  If I disagree with you I can be blunt and sometimes wrong. But I’m never ever trying to get a rise out of anyone
