  1. Any one else able to confirm this? Our power has been off since around 8:30am and a house alarm tripped up the street around the same time.
  2. Had low pressure at the top end of Dunstans since around 9:30am. Finally found a neighbour that confirmed the same. Apparently there?s a leak in Hillcourt and Thames Water are out.
  3. As the thread title says. Ideally would be someone that can do one of the newer external proofing methods rather than internal injection. May also need some preventative measures installing such as a French drain or similar.
  4. Spoke to Sky last night and after running tests they confirmed no issues my end. They advised could see that the connection had been unstable for around a week and advised that this was almost certainly down to the network struggling to cope with all of the extra traffic. While this was pretty much what I expected, Sky's online broadband checker had me thinking it might be otherwise. Hopefully this put a few more minds at rest. I rely on working from home to get paid, so knowing that I do not need to replace any equipment is one less thing to worry about.
  5. Thanks Jon, we're only getting occasional outages, usually only for a few seconds, but as I am currently working from home it is rather disruptive. As the frequency have increased and I do not get paid if I can't work, I have been rather worried about the situation getting worse. I hope yours is sorted out soon, but hopefully it is a sign of a wider problem that will be fixed and things will return to normal. I have to wonder whether the recent power outage is related.
  6. Likewise on Dunstan?s Road top end. Very brief, fraction of a second. Broadband has dipped as well.
  7. Not sure if this should be in this thread or not, but seeing as my issues only started last week I thought it might be related. We are on Dunstans Road and use Sky Superfast Broadband. We had new cables and box fitted by BT last year and the latest router from Sky in January. Everything was working fine until last week when we started to get brief outages, usually only about once or twice a day. The last two days the number have increased. Unfortunately Sky are being of little help (understandable to some extent)and as a result it is difficult to work out whether the issue is related purely to our property or is a wider issue affecting others in the area due to how busy the networks are. The family upstairs are on BT and have had no problems. I'd welcome some feedback on whether you are experiencing issues or not.

I think that most of us have said there could be other issues at work. However, five of these games being delivered to incorrect addresses on the same day? Seems unlikely. Additionally, shouldn?t delivery drivers be checking the address as well as the post code? Just an idea. Whatever the issue, it?s obvious that The Delivery Office in Peckham is currently performing very badly when it comes to the delivery of certain items and surely that is something that should bother all of us.

  10. We have just received a letter from Royal Mail stating that the Delivery Office Manager checked with the post person and they have confirmed the game was definitely delivered to our address on the Friday and that the scan on the Saturday was an error with the PDA. Once again, I can categorically state the package was not delivered to us at all. RM's investigation is little more than a show.

Does it come in a plain envelope? Royal Mail?s tracking has stated in each case that they have the parcels in Peckham, so how Game can be involved I don?t know. I don?t normally buy from Game so I have no idea if their packages always have a logo on, but stuff I bought from them a couple of years ago did.
  12. The guy the cuts our hair at Porters had the same thing happen apparently (assuming he?s not one of the posters here). I can?t believe that Royal Mail can treat these all as one off cases, there?s obviously a pattern. I?m happy to be involved in any escalation. I had another game from the Game Collection not turn up today as expected. It was due via standard mail, not tracked, so may just be late, but I?m obviously concerned. To the person that thinks these parcels would be hard to steal, they come in a DVD case. They fit through my tiny Victorian post box and would fit in the pocket of my winter coat, so not exactly hard to steal if someone wanted to. Maybe there is some other cock-up responsible, but given we were told categorically that the package was delivered to our house and it wasn?t, something fishy is definitely going on.
  13. Same happened to us on the same day. My son waited in all day on Friday 25 for a package from Game that was on a tracked 24 through Royal Mail. Tracking info said it was due for delivery by 3pm but that it was still in the depot. On Saturday the tracking info said it was scanned and out for delivery by just after 6am and was delivered at 6:45am. We've checked with neighbours and behind the bins, no joy. No note was put through the door to say it had been left with a neighbour which they should do according to their policy. We contacted RM and they told us we had to contact Game, which we did and they opened up an investigation. Yesterday Game got in contact and told us that RM assured them it had been delivered and definitely to our address. Now, either it was delivered to a completely different street and that person couldn't be bothered to drop it round, it got mislaid by RM or someone stole it. Those of you thinking this doesn't go on have your heads in the sand. I know someone that was laid off by RM for stealing stuff from Basingstoke sorting office. As far as I can see nobody has blamed the postie, but there are plenty of people who may be tempted to make a bit of money on the side given how tight money is with the shambles that is Brexit. We spoke to our postman on Saturday morning and he said that as far as he was aware the vans don't deliver as early as 6:45 and in all my years working from home the earliest I've ever seen one round here was around 8:45am, so something fishy definitely seems to be going on. Maybe just RM covering their arses and trying to shift the blame for their mistakes onto the customer.
  14. None on Dunstans upper end either. Thames water website says this is planned maintenance of a burst pipe at Overhill and that work will run from 18-20 June. Not sure if they're planning to supply temporary water but given the weather you'd imagine it would be a no brainer.
  15. Thanks Renata. Didn't want to risk it yesterday morning but definitely back to normal now.
