There used to be a computer repair place in Bassano Street is it still there>

Anyone know of a computer tech person who will come to house to repair/update PCs?

I was recommended someone from EDF many years ago who came and installed all the programmes on my new PC.

According to this he does home visits, and there is a landline number.

But I didn't think he was still based on Pellatt Road. Someone else will know, I'm sure!

Pugwash, someone on here may be able to help if you post in the lounge saying what needs repairing.

If you are talking about Christian, he  did not only cover Apple!

He was my go to person for Microsoft issues for years!

I have no idea why he would send you to someone else!

Any Linux users? Teaching myself Linux to escape from the abomination that Windows has been progressively turning into. Telemetry everywhere, a horrendous start menu and settings App, a forced Microsoft account, bloatware, cloud and AI features that no one's asking for at all.

I don't do Apple Mac, but, yes, am working with Linux Mint and finding it a very useful alternative to Windows. My old machine was sluggish with W11 but is back to its good old speeds on Linux. A life-saver.
