Car re spray

Hello,

Sorry asking for more advice/recommendations!!

A customer at work scuffed my car in the staff only car park - grrr!

He had asked me to get a quote for repair of the paintwork rather than go via insurers. I have looked up previous recommendations on here, but a couple of the local places won't touch it as my car is only a yr old and they say it needs somewhere with a proper booth to do a good job. One of them mentioned a place in forest hill, but I forget the name. Can anyone recommend somewhere?

Thank you!!

Seems to me he should be the one doing the donkey work not you.

Edited to say I appreciate that's not really helpful but hey, you're doing him a favour by saving his no claims from the sounds of it. If it was my car and it was that new I'd put the ball firmly in their court, with a deadline.

Unfortunately I don't know anyone to recommend. We've used the 'touch up' people but not on a car that new for the reasons you quote.

It's probably the place you were trying to remember. I had a similar situation to yours and did approach Peacocks first but subsequently heard about this place - price much better, very nice guys. They even washed my filthy car! Ask for Jonathan.

Cheers

Helen

    • This is the relevant passage, I believe "Southwark Council (Peckham Rye, Burgess Park, Southwark Park) will earn a projected £440,000 from events in its parks in 2025, up from £340,000 in 2024. Events include GALA Festival in Peckham Rye, August’s Boiler Room, Jazz Café and Maiden Voyage in Burgess Park, and RALLY festival in Southwark Park." What would of course be interesting to know is what they spend this on. Is there any transferred benefit to those local people who live around and use these facilities? But I wouldn't hold your breath for an answer.
