Good morning all,

Firstly, any schools or charity events happening for christmas and you need a gift toward a raffle draw then please let me know so I can donate. The summer schools fairs I have been told were a huge success raising money for their cause so I was so pleased to have been a part of this. Those of you who missed out please make sure you contact me in the near future.

Secondly, I received faulty stock from a supplier, basically the shoes are slightly discoloured and are all girl's shoes. I can not sell them so have been forced to write them off, but was wondering is there a place in the East Dulwich area where I can donate these shoes. I do collect recycled shoes and donate to one of my charities but would like to donate locally.

It's all about supporting our commnunity and I have to say the East Dulwich forum has supported me, so a huge thank you.

Lots of new stock in boots and wellies so try not to miss out.

Thank you again.

    • Thanks for these responses. Yes, Cllr Browning & Cllr Hartley did a door-knocking exercise a couple of months ago. It was Maggie Browning who knocked and I told her that I'd had radio silence from Jon Hartley. She looked embarrassed but not surprised. I have spoken to him since, only after writting to Ellie Reeves, our MP about it his lack of response. He agreed to address the issue I asked about but I've not heard from him since. It's really not acceptable for an elected Councillor to consistently ignore his ward constituents. Since it's clearly not a one-off, I'm gonna pick this up formally. I'll let you know how I get on...
    • If memory serves, Labour under Corbyn got more electoral  votes than Labour under Starmer. So I'm not sure how you can call that being "unelectable"? Under a different and fairer electoral system Labour would have won. I see moves are afoot to bring in such a different, fairer system, presumably in the hopes of stopping Reform winning next time. BTW there was a mass exodus from Labour  by  the local (East Dulwich) Labour party members when Corbyn was kicked out by Starmer. It isn't just Islington who doesn't want to support  a right or centre right Labour party.
    • Is this the new shop next to Dulwich Tandoori? is it actually open and if so has anyone tried them.
    • It was The Brickhouse - we liked them and it was very sad when they had to close
