Loft Conversion or Side Return? Not sure what's better value

Hello,

Just wanted to get some advice on this. We moved into a Victorian Terrace with an existing loft conversion. It's not a dormer and we have now found out the conversion has a number of issues because it was done on the cheap. We have looked into getting it corrected. We also got a quote for a side return. We can't afford to get both done but wondered where the money would be best spent. At present we have one child so space isn't a huge issue. Is having a larger communal living area a better investment than having a larger bedroom with a bigger ensuite?

Has anyone been in a similar position. Would appreciate your views

    • Yes, Persepolis definitely coming to SE22, we ate in the legendary Peckham branch last week and the Lordship Lane offshoot was confirmed. It will be called Simorgh. Doubt if the new one will have a roof terrace overlooking the Job Centre though! • I wasn't suggesting they should be used as a fox deterrent service! I thought I had explained that in my post. I posted information about them and what they do because you had posted about The Fox Project!
    • No idea to both! Though I seem to be being allowed to react again now 👍 I'm working on it 😂 It distracts me from the many many more important things I have to do 🤣
    • Respectfully, the Fox Angels Foundation need all the volunteers they have to tend to emergency call-outs, & should not be used as a fox deterrent service unless the fox is in danger. Forward all fox deterrent concerns to Fox-A-Gon so not to overwhelm these rescues.
