How much do vapes cost?

Having reached the ripe old age of 62 without ever trying a cigarette, I wondered how much vapes cost? My parents were avid cigarette smokers as were my in-laws and sadly they paid the price. Can’t believe £20 is the norm for a packet of fags now as a family member is still a heavy smoker much to my sadness. 
I often see young people in the local newsagent etc choosing a vape flavour like cherry or strawberry as if it’s a normal part of their lives and holding up the queue because they can’t decide. 
So can anyone explain the cost of a vape thing and are they addictive?

Vapes still contain nicotine and you can still get addicted.

Thanks for that Sue. Explains the vapes very well. And no, I wasn’t thinking of starting using them myself but curious as to the additive side and cost. Very sad situation seeing young people vaping when it’s just as bad as cigarette smoking.

It's not as bad as cigarette smoking. Where did you get that information from?

So are you saying that smoking these awful vape things are not harmful to someone’s health Alan? I think Sue’s reply to my question explains about how vapes are addictive and also contain very high amounts of nicotine which is the main culprit for smoking related deaths?  
Can someone tell me how much a vape thing  costs?
