Can anyone recommend the best thing to buy to play audio stories on at bedtime, I have a 4 year old boy who would love stories at bedtime after we have finished doing our books. What I'm struggling with is what to play them on. I could go for a cheap CD player but was wondering what other people use? or if there is some kind of iPod doc or iphone thing available? you can probably tell I'm not very clued up on all this!

Seems silly buying a CD player if CD's will soon be a thing of the past. I'm also not keen on any garish character player like the Cars boombox players or early learning type thing with the Karaoke... sorry toy snob alert!

Thanks

Hi

My girls love audio books at bedtime. We invested in an ancient ipod mini (from Ebay, but you may well have one lying around) and a cheap iPod dock. Can rip story CDs onto computer and then iPod or buy them as downloads that way. Now that the girls are older, they can operate in themselves.
