littlemissindulgence
Hi,Looking for a good quality amateur pantomime in SE London, where kids are actively encouraged to get involved. I have grandparents and a 4 year old who would love to go.Have you been to one last year or know of one coming to SE London this year - I would love to know. ThanksKate Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/37541-pantomime-recommendations-please/ Share on other sites

Bellenden Belle
https://www.unicorntheatre.com/twas-the-night-before-christmasNot a pantomime, but guaranteed to be absolutely magical. DaveR
Not amateur, but I highly recommend Greenwich Theatre:http://www.greenwichtheatre.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1265:puss-in-boots&catid=7:playingnow&Itemid=1We went last year and it was excellent; quite a small theatre so a nice atmosphere, and a good balance between old panto traditions and new stuff. bawdy-nan
I can second the Greenwich recommendation - we've been going for the last 6 years and its fab. Trad panto with sing a longs and shouting, toothy hoofers, splendid dame (who writes it - Andrew Pollard)no "stars" who can't act. Excellent atmosphere - we LOVE it and go with smalls and grands. FatherJack
And here's a third vote for Greenwich. It was hilarious last year! Our youngest was three at the time and LOVED it, as did our older children (including a teen!!) verds
Catford Broadway Theatre - such a good atmosphere. And they have the legendary (in 2001) Richard Blackwood this year. I'm going. Might even take the kids if they're lucky.
