anybody know of problems on friern road/ junction of underhill?

I have lived in the area for 5 years and am thinking of buying a house on Friern Road. The particular house is near the junction with Underhill and i was wondering if any of you know of any problems nearby as the owner is moving out after only a year?

Not sure about problems there now, but a year or so ago there was a shooting around that way - from what I remember one of the house had drug connections (on Underhill, in the terraced houses near the new houses). I used to see police there quite often. But since then that particular house looks to have been completely refurbished and sold.

what reason did they give for moving?

they said to be closer to family, but also said they'd been there 2 years (i looked up land registry which says only just over a year) so i'm now wondering if there's something more to it.

We live near there and never had any problems. Why don't you ask them why they have lied about living there for 2 years??!

My parents have lived there for 40 years (as have most of their neighbours) and they've never had any problems

They may not be telling lying. My cretinous solicitor took 18 months to register my flat, because the solicitors for the other side were even bigger numpeties. They may well have lived there for 2 years, but had a similar problem.

I'm sure there's a good explanation as i know the area pretty well and it's a nice quiet road. Thanks to everybody for replying
