Virgin Broadband

Hello,

We are planning to switch our broadband to Virgin Media Fibre Optic. Can you please let me know your experiences? Is the Virgin broadband any good in ED? We are currently on BT but its not fibre optic and switching to BT infinity is quite pricey as compared to Virgin.

Yep - brilliantly fast. Well recommended.

Their TV package is not nearly as good as Sky, though.

Yup - no complaints here. We had Sky before and Virgin much better.

like anything there'll be contention at certain times of the day, down to about 6-7Mbit at peak times, but I regularly get 30-45 at other times of the day.

As long as it's working well then no probs, though the customer service leaves a bit to be desired when it's not so hot. We were two wekks without it after they did some work in the area as they don't do weekends!!

Virgin do weekends, they sorted me out 3 weeks ago on a Sat PM 12-14.

Perhaps they changed their policy after my telling them what I though of them ;)

This was their technical engineers btw

In fact, they did say something about visits being new - because of "some El Pibe bloke"..
