Melbourne Grove Medical Practice prescriptions

My opinion of Melbourne Grove Practice has never been high but it is now at an all time low, if this practice and Concordia represent the future of medicine in this area then God help us! The reception staff, with the occasional exception, are moronic and they DON"T LISTEN to what is being said to them. All I needed was a repeat prescription renewing but ended up with an appointment to see someone I had never heard of two days AFTER the renewal date of the prescription in question, nothing I said seemed to change their view that this was the solution to my situation. And the communication between the front-of-house staff and the doctor was conducted by tweets!

What I would love to know is who can this appalling standard of service be reported to? It appears any complaints have to go through an internal 'Customer Services' manager, this is plainly hopeless.

You can always contact Pals (patient advice liaison service) or if you can find the number to the PCT but having worked in a surgery for many years I came to relies nothing you say will matter as you as patients are bringing in the money every time someone walks in they see ??? signs. Sorry to be so glum but just the truth.

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.
    • Sorry if I’m being slow but there’s no point in having a gate then is there?  Would have thought it was basic manners to respect someone’s property
    • I didn't say wedge it "slightly" open. I meant to wedge it fully open.
    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
