Newborn in phil and teds-footmuff/sheepskin?

Hi folks,

I have a (very) newborn and toddler and am just assembling my shiny new p&t navigator.

Can't decide what would work best in the hanging-down baby carrier at the back. I didn't like the p&t cocoon as it's quite a tight fit so just wondering what other people use.

I've seen people with sheepskin + pramsuit but not sure if that will be warm enough to go through winter.

I really liked the cocoon in a Sport. Is it different in the Navigator? It was very convenient for lifting a sleeping baby into the house/cot etc. We even used ours in a bassinet on a long haul flight to get a sleeping baby on and off the plane. It lasted for anout 5 months with my second who was quite small, and 4 months with my 3rd who is big.

I liked the cocoon too - I had the opposite problem that my baby was getting too hot in it in summer and found getting them in and out of the lie flat space really hard without the cocoon...

I also like the cocoon, really cosy for an autumn baby. My son was pretty big though and outgrew it at about 12 weeks. After that we used a sheepskin liner plus pramsuit and blanket or 2. Was tricky to get him in and out though!

Thanks, sounds like i should start with cocoon though maybe I'll buy 2nd hand if it won't last long.
