Wanted - Admin assistant

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Our company, East Dulwich Campers, has an opening for an admin assistant initially working 12 hours a week at ?8.50 an hour. The hours can be arranged to suit. The duties include processing incoming mail, paying invoices, keeping records up to date, filing, answering the phone, arranging couriers and generally keeping the whole place ticking along.

We are a very friendly 3/4 people at present and there is a very relaxed atmosphere. The workshop has got campervans in and out all the time and internet orders for second hand parts are constantly being taken.

The position would suit someone who has a good sense of organisation and can work on their own initiative. They must be willing to create admin processes which are effective and help the business function. They should be chirpy and of positive demeanor to join in the positive environment in which we like to work.

Initially the job will be for 12 hours a week probably 3 lots of 4 hours but possibly growing if the right candidate shows that they can really grasp the position and help the business flourish.

Please send a CV highlighting relevant work experience to [email protected] with a short covering letter.

We look forward to finding a great person to join our team.

    • Is anyone else having difficulty booking Silver Swim sessions (Tuesday and Thursday between 3pm-4pm?) Almost all the spaces are taken before the online booking system opens at 10pm several days before. Last night there appeared to be one space available for next Tuesday. I tried to book at one second past 10pm but was unsuccessful. This seems to have been a recent phenomenon. I made a telephone call this morning but just received a recorded message saying that the voicemail box was full. Am I right in assuming that in person bookings are now taking precedence over online ones?
    • I completely agree with you, Angelina. But it's worth noting that no one else has a problem with her, or finds her rude /  has mentioned her aggressively banging gates / ringing doorbells etc.
    • But I don't think that was what you meant, was it? But he can hardly be held responsible for what somebody else did! Just discovered I forgot to post the above  last night, and now it's overtaken by long posts.  I don't have sufficient knowledge  to counter some of what has been said above, some of which appears to be opinion rather than facts, so it would be pointless for me to say anything else.
