Number in glass above front door?

Has anyone had their house number etched in the glass 'light' above their front door? Seen this a lot in East Dulwich and we thought it would work well for us as we're a corner house which can cause confusion over the number. We've had one quote of just under ?500 which is a bit higher than we expected. Does anyone have any advice/experience of this ? Thanks, Annie

Get a film, much cheaper eg http://www.purlfrost.com/house-numbers/ and I'd imagine a lot of the ones you've seen are done like this.

We ised film and it cost considerably less than ?500!
