nunheadmum
I've got two kids getting hyper for Christmas and potentially awful weather outside. Any good ideas for active indoor activities that burn a bit of energy? Feeling a bit out of ideas, what with having a head full of Christmas planning!! EmilyPie
How old are they? My 2yo can be entertained for quite a long time by running round and round the room with me shouting 'faster, faster'. We also have dancing which burns off quite a bit of energy and running round like a lunatic to jimmy Hendrix. If they're a bit older maybe stuff like musical statues? nunheadmum
Emilypie - afraid they're 5 and 7 although could probably still enjoy running round being told faster but not sure my house would survive! Canela - you tube is always a hit but I tend to be crap at finding good stuff. Any suggestions welcome. Just did a gym session in the front room while the carpet was toy free. Amazing how quick that energy goes and they're saying they're exhausted! BeccaL
Wellies and waterproofs, towels on radiator at home, then go out and run around, get soaking, come home, change into warm dry clothes, drink hot chocolate, watch Christmas film? Oxalis
One of these perhaps?Paper "Islands" to jump on between furniture/rooms to avoid shark infested water.Build a den.Wrap up, contrive a long walk to get a magazine and back home to read it.Race to tidy bedrooms!Dressing up race. One child could choose items for the other one to put on.Balloons to bat around? Or blow them up, release and retrieve them - the noise is usually quite entertaining too.
