Do you know when Downtown Abbey is going to start again? The christmas special was great!

Not for some time (if at all), no new filming has been since the Christmas Special, Julian Fellowes is loathe to write more as it wasn't what he had in mind for drama.

Poor Julian.

Loathe though he is, I'm sure he will manage to squeeze out another series - I mean 'season' - for another massive sack of cash.

I thought he was giving it the elbow for the wheelbarrows full of cash he'll get doing 'The Gilded Age' for NBC.

I heard the next Downton Abbey series will be set entirely in New York and renamed Abbey, Downtown. The theme music will be replaced by the Star Spangled banner and the first episode will centre around Lady Mary's efforts to put together a baseball team whilst continually whistlin' Dixie.

US market loves it, figures from new series that aired on Sunday rated over 10m-that is a pretty bloody high figure a US channel. Oh, we also got a very fine Fortnum and Mason Christmas hamper due to Downton-Please keep watching and force another commission !!!!!
