Someone from the centre left me a message this morning telling me to call them back "urgently" about my son (who is well and in nursery today, no test results pending or anything). I have tried repeatedly to call back but my call just times out - no answering machine, not queue, nothing, it just rings and rings and then times out. I can't go down there because I am at work.

I am irritated to say the very least. Have they just decided to close for the afternoon?! Does anyone have any idea what's going on?

Thanks

I still haven't been able to get through by phone so I filled in the online contact form. No response. It makes it very tricky when you're at work and can't get there in person.

I have been with them for a number of years but never had much cause to use them until I had my son, who has forced me to interact with them a bit more. They have always been OK when I have actually spoken to someone, but getting to do so is practically impossible.

Hiya

I have complained to the staff about failure to answer the telephone.

I got an apology. They stated that they were getting the telephone system repaired.

You can rate the surgery on the NHS site for surgeries. I have, and gave them 1 star.

I'm guessing that a new reception team is in place , or that maybe a new private organisation has won a contract.

In my job I frequently have to ring GPs and all GP surgeries have a bypass number which is only available to those who work in the medical and social care field. I tried several times yesterday to get through to Melbourne Grove yesterday on the bypass number whose answer phone was telling me that surgery hours were x - x. I was well within these hours. Googled the main number and got through straight away. Receptionist expressed surprise to hear that the bypass number was on an answerphone, but to her credit within 5 minutes I got a return phone call from a helpful GP who issued an immediate prescription to my client. Must admit this was the first time I had spoken with this surgery
Same problem with phones today and yesterday. Received a message asking me to call them for unspecified reason in the afternoon. Called back and message said they were closed at 4pm. Today am being told I am on hold, but then phone rings with no answer.

    • You don't need a gym to lose 10kg. Get a set of dumbbells and maybe a resistance band, find a HIIT channel you like on youtube and workout in your room, eat clean and go out every day. £115/mo is ridiculous. I thought they were supposed to be about £20 to £30 and most people give up come February anyway.
    • Point taken..I go 3-4 times a week and have done every week for several years however £115 a month is still a lot of money for many people (myself included) for a 'non essential' One can if one wishes excersise by running or Cycling, swimming once in a while. Gym membership IS a luxury...
    • Tawny owls are hooting in Dawsons Heights very near me. But very elusive birds. Sadly now on the amber list.  I have heard the owls every night for the past couple of weeks  It is good to know they are here. They are quite loud so I think they are very near. I have never seen an owl in the wild before and wish I  could  see them.
