davidh
we have had cartons of milk and cream disappear from our doorstep many days recently. we have now discovered that a fox is the rascally culprit. we want to buy a hinged lidded container for the milkman to leave our goods in. does anyone know where such an item can be bought. please don't suggest making one. I am decorative rather than functional. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/40084-milk-problem/ Share on other sites

dulwichquine
That won't work. We have exactly the same problem and can't find a neat solution. Would be interested in any ideas, too. We bought a cheap food bag which was zipped and they still managed to get in! aquarius moon
You can buy plastic storage boxes with catches at both ends, all different sizes. ('Really Useful' is the best make)Then leave a note for the milkman asking if he would please be so kind as to leave the milk etc inside the container.Much safer than something with a hinged lid that can be easily be knocked over & opened.Plus of course you would have to leave the box behind a hedge or wall away from view. Otherwise in ED it would be at risk of being stolen. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/40084-milk-problem/#findComment-710405 Share on other sites
