Lamps in need of repair - any recommendations?

I have two lamps which have stopped working following a house move (one floor standing lamp, one table top). I've tried taking them apart and putting back together again with no joy - so perhaps they need completely new fittings. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where I can get these fixed locally?
