I use NannyPAYE.co.uk who price matched payefornannies.co.uk and I pay ?125 inc VAT a year. I previously used Taxing Nannies who were more expensive but seemed very knowledgeable about tax for nannyshares. I was very happy with them, and was grateful for the guidance in a quite complicated nannyshare set up, but when our share ended and we switched to a more straightforward employment arrangement with our own nanny I couldn't really justify spending double. I've been very happy with NannyPAYE for our very standard sole charge nanny tax needs.

There are lots of payroll agencies that do the same thing - best thing is to Google and ensure you check price for weekly/monthly as some advertise cheaper rate but then you find it's for weekly payroll when you want monthly (or vice versa).

All the same thing, Nannytax purely a big brand so Nescafe coffee as opposed to say Red Mountain :)

Another nod to nannypaye. They're cheaper and were great. As esme said, shop around. So long as the firm is reputable, you'll get the same essential service. You're paying to avoid weekly/monthly hassle and to ensure you avoid missing a payment to HMRC (or risking getting it wrong). They're also very helpful with general advice on contracts etc.

    • I don't know how it works now but my late parents had little money when they were retired (just state pension and they rented their flat) and they used to take their cat to the Blue Cross (In Victoria if I remember correctly) where treatment was free for those who could'nt afford a private vet. I sincerely hope similar is available still because for many elderly their pet is their main source of comfort and company.
    • In a couple of places locally, I have come across this. I am fairly sure that they attempt to do the bill in their head. If you just say , “no, I think it’s x” they start again and get to an agreeable number, or find a calculator. I don’t think it’s a malicious attempt to swindle people. Just not great arithmetic.
    • There are excellent charities like the Greenwich Wildlife Network who will help if you report any concerns with local wildlife. Foxes are wonderful creatures who had been forced into our town and cities and are just doing their best to survive, we should take care of them when we can.
    • Like I thought… prob like that for most of the day.. especially after people had walked their dogs, with friends, relatives  kids…
