Advanced clinical massage, Pregnancy massage and Reflexology

Hi all, I would like to introduce myself and my services to the East Dulwich Forum. I am an advanced clinical massage therapist working at ESPH (116 Lordship Lane, SE22 8HD). I also offer home visits and work from my treatment room in Beckenham.

I offer bespoke pregnancy massage and reflexology and have a special interest in working with people with chronic pain and injury using deep, effective techniques from the East and West, including fascial release, soft tissue release, trigger point therapy, stretching, limb and joint mobilisation, hot stones and meridian massage.

I have worked as a complementary therapist in Oncology Care for Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital. I have worked with people from all walks of life and have trained with leading practitioners in their fields. As a Forrest Yoga teacher, my treatments focus on improving body awareness, and creating more space and freedom in the body.

My clients find pregnancy massage not only deeply relaxing but they also feel great relief from lower back and hip pain, neck and shoulder pain, carpal tunnel syndrome and water retention. Pregnancy reflexology can be very helpful for women with pelvic girdle pain, lower back pain, sciatica, stress and anxiety, lack of sleep and swollen ankles and feet. It can be very supportive for women towards the end of their pregnancy in preparation for labour.

Gift Vouchers available.

Best wishes,

Deepa

    • I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.
    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.  If we were in Somerset and had a press, I'd consider it. Can't be that diffcult, can it?
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
    • There's a food bank off Dog Kennel Hill. Albrighton Community Fridge. https://www.albrightoncommunityfridge.org/ I'm sure they would welcome them, but maybe check first, as they don't actually mention fresh fruit on their website? But apples aren't that perishable. Drop off seven days a week 9 - 5. Be warned if you are going by car, parking can be very difficult, easiest if there are two of you so one person can take the food in while the other can move the car if necessary.
