Help for Garden

Hi there

I have a garden - not overly messy but needs tending to as I'm too busy with work and another renovation project I have, It's basically shrubs and overgrown climbers that need retying and cutting back, grass raking and bit of lawn trimming in prep from spring, dig over the boarders, tend a sick plant etc. Garden is about 30 x 20 so if I could get a spare day I reckon it would take me that but as I said, time an issue.

If you are interested could you let me know? I'm also happy to suggest two half days with a couple of weeks inbetween as perhaps not quite the right timing for some of the cutback. Could suit a student or other as this isn't a job that needs gardening knowledge, just someone who wants to earn a bit of cash. Also, job likely to be on a Thur-Sat as I'd be working at home whilst you were there.

    • I miss milkmen. It was the sign of a good night out if you met one on the way home. But could quality produce, in 100% recyclable packaging and home-delivered by zero emission electric vehicles really catch on these days? They should bring back the Corona pop man, as well.
    • Based on what I’ve seen, you can get yogurt in small glass jars from milkman now if you miss those.  Butter and bread is also available.  One of the dairies has fresh bread from a bakery in Brockley, but that bakery also do their own deliveries which I had been thinking of trying.
    • Of course you also had lot's of local diaries. My grandmother had a job as a milkmaid in Camberwell when she was young!
    • Not yet but have been seriously considering it. Good to know others are successfully using it.
