Recommendations for carpets/ fitters please?

Looking for good, reasonably priced carpets (and fitting) to quote for our house please?

I recently had Westminster Carpets do my stairs, they're on Lordship Lane. The carpet I chose wasn't cheap, but they have a huge selection of samples in their shop and the member of staff (John) who helped me was very nice and patient. My stairs looks great and I was pleased with the job. I went into the carpet shop on the other side of forest hill (EJ carpets or something like that?) they didn't have nearly such a good selection and the guy I spoke to seemed to have a problem with numbers, which isn't very helpful for a carpet fitter who needs to be confident with measurements.

I can't comment on Westminster Carpets as I didn't use them, but had a different experience with EJ Carpets compared to MrsPlatypus. I thought they were excellent and started a thread for them.

Just had hall and stairs carpetted in our 4 storey house by Paul from Nunhead Carpets. Fantastic job done. Quick, tidy and very reasonable. Cannot recomend highly enough.Will definately be calling on him again.
