Dulwich Plumbing and Heating

We have used Daniel at Dulwich Heating and Plumbing twice now. He has fixed two different leaks, one on the boiler and one in the bathroom. Both times we have had professional and friendly service and we would use him again and recommend him to others. As i found his details on this forum it only seemed fair to recommend him here again! his number is 07852 757654.

Unfortunately I cannot agree with the above recommendations.

We called Daniel on New Year's Eve as our boiler was not working. He sent someone to take a look at it later that day and the guy told us that we needed to buy a new part for it so it couldn't be fixed there and then. That meant several days over the new year period without heating.

Daniel contacted us later that day to ask us to pay him for the call out. We were a little annoyed by this as the boiler had not been fixed, however we paid the same day on the good faith that the diagnosis was correct and we would get it fixed as soon as the part arrived.

On receiving the part we decided to ask another company to come and install it, as we hadn't been totally convinced by the original guy that Daniel sent. The next company that we used arrived and advised us that Daniel's guy had removed our supposedly broken part, but that there was nothing wrong with it. No need for me to have purchased the new part. They then diagnosed the need for a different new part, but were able to put a temporary fix on the boiler so that we had heating again (this could have been done on New Year's Eve). They then returned a few dyas later and installed the new correct part.

We contacted Daniel to let him know what had happened and he agreed to refund us the call out charge. This was 6 weeks ago. Since then we have spoken to him a couple of times and have exchanged several text messages. Until recentlty there has always been an excuse (away on holiday, broken phone, lost our details, sick and not working so no money), however having last weekend promised to pay us by last Wednesday, we have still not received the money and he is now ignoring our text messages.

    • I do hope NOT, wouldn't trust Farage as far as I could throw him, Starmer & co.  He's backed by GB News which focus's predominantly on immigration while the BBC focus predominantly on the Israel - Gazza conflict.
    • Everyone gets the point that Corbynites try to make with the "total number of votes cast" statistic, it's just a specious one.  In 2017, Corbyn's Labour got fewer votes than May's Tories (both the percentage of votes and aggregate number of votes). In 2019, Corbyn's Labour fewer votes than Johnson's Tories (both the percentage of votes and aggregate number of votes); and he managed to drop 2.7 million votes or 6.9% of vote share between the two elections. I repeat, he got trounced by Boris F***ing Johnson and the Tories after the Brexit omnishambles. It is not true that a "fairer" electoral system would have seen Labour beat the Tories: Labour simply got fewer votes than the Tories. Corbyn lost twice. There is no metric by which he won the general election. His failure to win was a disaster for the UK, and let Johnson and Truss and Sunak into office. Corbynites have to let go of this delusion that Corbyn but really won somehow if you squint in a certain way. It is completely irrelevant that Labour under Corbyn got more votes than Labour under Starmer. It is like saying Hull City was more successful in its 2014 FA Cup Final than Chelsea was in its 2018 FA Cup Final, because Hull scored 2 goals when Chelsea only scored 1. But guess what - Chelsea won its game and Hull City lost. Corbyn's fans turned out to vote for him - but an even larger group of people who found him repellant were motivated enough to show up and vote Tory.
