Renovation/construction recommendation

A quick testimonial for East Dulwich builder, Paul O'Brien and his son and work partner, Charlie, who have worked on renovating our house in Camberwell over the last couple of years - doing a variety of jobs from painting and decorating to carving a fabulous one-bedroom flat out of our previously disused basement. They have just now finished a smaller but fantastic make-over of a teeny studio flat in Brixton which, with a little flair and some creative touches, has turned what was a tired studio into a cosy and bright (still teeny) one bedroom apartment. Nothing is too complicated, problems are always resolved - and on budget. Thanks to O'Brien building services. Please feel free to email me if you want more info about them. Paul can be contacted on 07836597890.

    • Unfortunately I've had very bad experiences with John Lewis technical help department, who have more than once given me completely wrong information, and once had to pay me compensation as a result. In any case unless you bought the phone there I'm not sure they would help? A local phone shop might, though.
    • Just had three areas of damp expertly dealt with by JKA Damp proofing & Plastering. Each area had a different cause and Jonathan diagnosed and explained the problems comprehensively. The family firm then carried out all the necessary repairs having prepped each area meticulously. The work was done to the highest standard and then everything was cleared up beautifully. I would wholeheartedly recommend the firm if you have damp problems!
    • hi Tom I'd ask a teenager. I'd lend you mine but they are asleep.  Pop into a phone shop and ask for help with it. It's quite straightforward, but easier once you know.
    • I switched from one samsung phone to another Samsung phone about a couple of years or so ago. Now I may be misremembering but what I think I  did was to 1. Open a samsung account which gave me access to Samsung's cloud. 2. Uploaded what i wanted to transfer to new phone to the cloud. It gives a choice of which categories to upload. 3. Log in to samsung on new phone then download stuff from cloud onto new phone. I was very hesitant but I remember it was quite simple and straightforward, I surprised myself. I do keep all photos and documents on other clouds which means I can access the same file/photo from different devices, and agree with Sue about accessing emails. Good Luck!
