Tweenies
I am on a tight budget, and find the cheap prices and convenience of the store in Lordship lane, extremely helpful. The staff there are amazing, there also helpful & friendly, No such experience in Peckham branch, with there very lengthy cues, & the majority of the staff are Rude and unfriendly.I would be devastated to lose my Iceland and its lovely staff... :( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/41349-iceland/ Share on other sites
Alan Medic
I'm with you Tweenies though I wouldn't go as far as saying 'devastated'. I'd miss their spicy veggie burgers and like the fact I can get in and out of there with some basics really quickly. Their staff seem genuinely nice. Though any staff in a service industry should be sacked for not meeting minimum standards in dealing with their customers. Nigello
It's a great shop with good staff, especially the tireless check-out women. Cream, free-range eggs, tinned pulses, basic fruit and veg, olive oil and butter, milk etc are all available and cheap. It's rarely packed out and it's clean and well-lit, so I'd not want to see it go. Sue
I too love Iceland for many things, except that all their frozen vegetable freezers were out of action the other day, just when I went in to top up on frozen veg ....But it's closing down, isn't it? Have I missed something? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/41349-iceland/#findComment-721496 Share on other sites
Helina101
I saw that coming. How you would make profit or afford the rent in lordship lane while most of the items in Iceland are for 1? 2? Feel bad for the staff :-( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/41349-iceland/#findComment-721555 Share on other sites
tallulah71
I went in there last Friday behind a bloke who was doing the tune, "Maybe it's because I'm a Londoner..." in a brrrrump-ah-damp-ah-dump-amp-a-dump-a-adum....kind of a way. Bit difficult to explain but a bit like a vocal trumpet.Right made my day!And totally agree...the staff are great.
