bornagain
This is a long shot but we are a bit flummoxed. For the last week or so we have had a spate of the rcd tripping in our house cutting off our electricity. A bizarre pattern of five or six times in as many minutes then ok for around 20 hours and then repeat. It's a real pain as you can imagine and we have tried troubleshooting by disconnecting suspect devices but nothing seems to be the cause. Just wondered if there are any external factors at large? Sue
I'd be quite worried if the rcd kept tripping.Maybe you need to consult an electrician?Alternatively, if you google it there seem to be quite a few online discussions on it. Loz
The RCD for the whole house, or just one circuit? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/41479-electrics-tripping-repeatedly/#findComment-722238 Share on other sites
Lowlander
You need to treat every device as a suspect device; could be as simple as a loose lightbulb. If no suspect devices, then get an electrician in.
