recommend a builder

We would like to recommend Kevin from Y and J builders. We were recommended them through friends, and requested a quotation for a kitchen extension and refurbishment. Kevin responded promptly, arranging a time convenient to us both, he quickly understood the task required and quoted a very fair price. More importantly to us was his friendly but professional manner. He provided us with references for his previous work. Kevin brought in a hardworking team with him. They came promptly and did a full day?s work. We enjoyed having them on site as they were always courteous and interested in our project.

Kevin has a great work ethic and a keen eye to details. His work is done to a very high standard. He has worked within the time limits given and always keeps us up to date with how the work is going. He always gives us confidence with his work and is always willing to show us what has been done and keeps us in the loop. His quote was very reasonable and we never have had any surprises along the way, he sticks to his quote and gave us various price alternatives to stick within our budget. Kevin has given us faith that there are great builders out there. His company are a hard working reliable team. Kevin is easy to communicate with. He is friendly and approachable. We cannot express our gratitude for his work, but also his care in getting the work completed. Would highly recommend to all.

Hi,

I would also recommend Kevin, he recently completed a complex refurbishment of my living/dining room and porch, including removal of fireplaces, plastering, tiling, electrics, restoration of parquet flooring and re-decorating. He uses excellent skilled tradesmen and is a hard worker, going over and above the original remit to achieve maximum results.

As far as I understand his website & email are out of action while being re-designed at the moment but he replies promptly to phone enquiries.

    • I can't access the article - what's the gist?  I took the markets getting jittery when she was crying at PMQs to be a sign that they trusted her. But maybe it was because they were simply worried about any form of instability.  The NIC hikes have stymied the economy, which we could all see a mile off. Will a wealth tax improve things? Does anyone here think the trickle down has any impact and that chasing out the super rich will help things? Or are we just seeing off the biggest contributors to the economy? And has the Kwasi approach ever worked anywhere else?  Economics is not my strong point at all, I'd love to know others' opinions, but it seems to be she has few options, especially as the party is so divided.
    • does either of them have a surgery? probably not over summer, but I thought they had to give the opportunity for their constituents to meet them.
    • MaryT, I’ve contacted the Dulwich Hill councillors several times in recent years, always copying them both in. I have never had an acknowledgment from Jon Hartley (not even an automated response or out-of-office) nor had any response or engagement from him regarding the issue raised.   On each occasion, only Maggie Browning responded (she uses an out-of-office if she is away). The last time, I received no response from either for 3 months, until Maggie Browning emailed me to apologise for not responding and asking if the problem had been resolved.
    • The  Kwasi effect is being considered.
