Internet travel sites

Ok so this might be a bit random and I'm sure there are many things the Internet is good for...

...but in my experience travel sites are not one of them - sites like Lastfeckinminute, Expedia, blah blah blah you know all the usual ones provide absolutley dreadful hotels with awful flight times and once you add up all the extras you'd have done better going to a travel agent...

so question is what do the good citizens of ED use? I find skyscanner.com and sawdays quite useful but I figure there must be some other decent sites out there??

If you are just after information rather than flights and hotels, Fodors.com is good. It's mainly aimed at and used by Americans, but Americans who have and use their passport. It has chat forums where you can post information and read others' contributions and also areas where you can go and get Fodors' own information. Wanderlust.com is good too, and the Daily Telegraph, Times, Guardian and Independent all have good archives of their travel sections.

BA.com has cheaper flights than you might expect and do single fares these days.
