Charity shop whinge

I can't be the only person who finds the "Reservation" policy of the furniture branch of St Christopher's charity shop infuriating?

10.30 and the stuff in the new window display is already all reserved. So now I have to pass it for a fortnight looking at something I would have liked to buy and can't. If it had just come in and gone out, well, ignorance is bliss.

And apparently they pay for a window dresser and have all the trouble of phoning people about their reservations after

Why?

You're a shop. Sell stuff. Don't put it out and then say "you can't have it"

Yes, I've noticed that and find it infuriating..I've never actually seen anything I can buy in the window.

What they should do is a no reservations policy and items in window get sold 10am Saturday (give the full time workers a chance) and then its on a first come first served basis.

OR get an ebay account-put items in window with a link to the listing and let them go to the highs bidder-they'd also raise more that way-and could put a low reserve on the items so they don't lose out.

OR..EVEN Better post them on the for sale section of this forum with links.

Do give it a go.
    • Greens have some mad polices and I am still trying to work out if it is true that the leader of the party thought he could hypnotize women to have larger breasts 🤷‍♂️ country is in a real state at the min and all party’s have a part to play in that. what the future holds who knows but it is worrying.
    • A stellar win for the Greens in Gorton and Denton, no doubt. But by-elections are funny beasts. Labour's strength traditionally has been in its ground game. Legions of canvassers over many years in many seats usually means that they are best placed to 'get out the vote' on election day. I can't quite believe that the Greens have enough data, or people, to wrest control of the council from Labour.
