It's my son's 6th birthday day at home on 22 March. He would love a 'Nature' party. Basically, I am just wondering whether is anyone who might lend us an interesting animal for the children to look at (chicks?hedgehog?mouse?reptile?). Obviously, we would take great care of anything loaned to us and we would give you a couple of nice bottles of wine, as a thank you.

It's probably a long shot, but I thought it would be worth asking.

Many thanks for reading this

Lucy

Lucy, I am not sure if you will get a pet this way, as you would need, I imagine, someone experienced to handle an animal to make sure they are not over petted.

There is someone at Ivydale school who does really interesting talks to children and brings along snakes and bugs. He is very knowledgable and the children all seem to love his talks and shows he does at the school fair. I am sure I read in the school newsletter that he is also doing parties. If this might interest you I could get you his contact details?

    • Nice to see the property is going to reopen with a Newish business, good luck to them.
    • Of course they do, watching cookery shows and buying cook books is a national pastime. However you raise a good point that some people claim they are time poor and end up eating out / takeaways as sometimes a quick macciedee is cheaper and easier than making a quick nutrious family meal.  However to put it in balance, not many people have the knowledge, confidence and time to cook Persian so good luck to team persepolis on this venture.
    • London doesn’t have a lot of Argentinian places specialising in empanadas, which suggests demand isn’t that great. There are many neighbourhoods with none at all or even nearby.  So for a mini-chain like Chango (several branches in SW London) to open here where there’s already a well established family run place doing the same feels a bit off.  I’ll be giving Chacarero my ongoing custom.
