British Humanist Association need support from parents of/and kids who want to study Humanism too.

I don't care if they study humanism or atheism. The point is they should be allowed to study the possibility that (a) there is no God and all this happened by geological physical chance (I'm reading The End of Mr Y at the moment and it's doing my head in but I so recommend it), and they should be allowed to study it without religiously biased teachers (ie. not a faith school, then) telling them that it is perfectly acceptable to do so.

There MAY be a god. I just choose to live my life assuming there isn't, and I choose to try and be nice NOT because I am scared of hell, but because, oh it's just a better option. I'm not an angel though ;) Not even a hell's angel.

Sorry for the last line Annasf' http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1343&Itemid=59

But I can't really see the point of this (the original story obviously).

I'm not exactly partial to a religious advert on a bus or the evangelists on the street corner telling you you'll burn in hell, but do two wrongs make a right? (that's probably a bit rhetorical thinking about it)

    • They’ve backed away from pretending they produce their own goods recently. That claim sat at the centre of the misdirection for years. They’ve now accepted they can’t sustain it, so they’re beginning to highlight the local independent bakeries whose products they actually sell. The business is essentially a courier model running on a slim margin.
    • Another sparrow hawk visor to our cherry tree at the weekend.  Our robin survived, but we may be a sparrow down.     any thoughts on bird feeders & bird baths with the current bird flu?  I try to wash out the bird bath most days when at home, but not on the 3 days in a row that I’m in the office & the bird feeders rather less regularly. Would it be better not to have at all (as my partner thinks)?
    • OOOPS. My daughter just had to pay a five pound fine. I hadn't put a stamp on it. I remember wondering whether to use a  first or second class stamp,  and clearly when I posted it I still hadn't decided (but sadly didn't notice). I feel really bad for suspecting a postie might have  opened it.  Sorry posties.
