scareyt
If we had the space I would get a quote from this guy to build something unique. http://www.freerangeplaygrounds.co.uk/ We have a big sandpit instead which is fab and i think gives more play value than a house but means I spend all summer sweeping sand off the kitchen floor. alieh
I've done quite a bit of reading on Mumsnet and other places about this in trying to decide what to put in our garden as space is tight. A number of people suggested that playhouses didn't get as much play value as other large garden toys. People seemed to find climbing frames, swing sets and trampolines got more use. We're going to go for a small-ish trampoline and swing set I think. Not sure if you've already considered these other options. I've been looking at the Active Toy Company. scareyt
I think you're right aleih. My nephews aged 9 and 10 have a big garden and still use their swing set and slide combination thing every day but their playhouse has only been used as storage for old toys for a long time now. Belle
http://www.tptoys.com/playhouses/tp_wood_playhouse_with_slide_fsc.htmWe got the above playhouse/treehouse climbing frame last summer for our 2 boys (now 5 and 2.5) - it's been great. We haven't used the sandpit function, not really needed to yet.
