Hi Marion, great to hear from you and sorry you missed the previous discussions - junk mail can be very annoying sometimes! Change of plan for our next meeting - it's now going to be next Friday 8th August at 10am and not Thursday 7th at 10am (still the Croydon Road playground) so hopefully you can make the next meeting. Any other forum members welcome too!

Hello

Wow! So good to see so many on here who are in the same boat as I will be in 3 weeks time. We're about to move from Peckham to Beckenham, and I'd love to meet up with you guys. Unfortunately I work Fridays. Is anyone around tomorrow for a coffee?

Also, any suggestions for baby groups on tomorrow? My girl is 11 month old and they all seem to only run term time.

Hi, I know this is an old thread but just in case.

Marionj /JulieW /marie1602 - I am based in Clock House (half way between Beckenham and Penge) and have a 5 months old daughter. I am French too (looks like there are a few of us in these parts!), and I am very keen for her to meet some other French babies /kids.

Are you still around? I am guessing you are no longuer on maternity leave? Would still be great to meet up, let me know.

Aurelie

    • I hate cooking and I can't cook. I live on stuff out of the freezer which I cook once every six months. I exaggerate only slightly.
    • Simply, give us a snap election now as the last 12 months in office honestly have not been great in any sense. Let someone else have a go at turning around UK plc before it's too late. At least the last administration had the inflation and unemployment rates going in the right direction at the END.
    • Yes but what's the answer, Jazzer? No government can simply walk in and fix the economy - get the bills down, grow it and reduce debt. There is no silver bullet. The public (and the press) wants everything now, everything cheaper, but with better public services and lower taxes.  In the radio and paper, all you ever hear is pundits, MPs, think tanks and economists saying what won't work, but no one seems to know what will work.  I'm genuinely interested to hear what other views people have on here, and what they think will help, or make things worse.
