Without wanting to spam this forum with a commercial, I provide computer tuition to kids and adults, and run a number of coding clubs and groups.

I actually run the Dulwich Hamlet Code Club, another in Dulwich and a couple elsewhere.

The Code Club website doesn't make clear that these clubs are only open to pupils at the schools, and membership is very limited and heavily oversubscribed.

I can only suggest that you badger your child's school to set up a Code Club of their own.

I'd be happy to set up a local paid-for club if a few parents could commit, and we could get at least one parent to help out with each session.

I spend my weekdays tutoring at schools and youth projects, but would be free to run a club at the weekend. I'm also free after 4.30 on a Thursday and Friday.

I would have to charge, although at a very reasonable rate (equivalent to paid-for after-school clubs): I currently volunteer for about 20 hours a week, and spend a fortune in printing and travel costs!

There are some (rather out-of-date) details on my website:

Good luck in your quest!

    • Hopefully, he’s going to make a decision on recognising Palestine and the two state solution. I imagine they’ve got good soundproofing.
    • 'Keir Starmer has recalled the cabinet from their summer holiday to discuss the urgent situation in Gaza. Strong words are not enough. Join [PSC] today at 1pm outside Downing Street to bang pots and pans and say: Stop starving Gaza. Stop arming Israel. ... We will be outside Downing Street today from 1pm, banging pots and pans to symbolise the famine Israel is deliberately inflicting on Palestinians, and to protest against Keir Starmer and his government’s complicity in genocide. Join us if you can at 1pm, and bring a pot to bang. Make sure Keir Starmer and his cabinet hear us loud and clear.'
    • I would say Franco Manca had a few branches long before the East Dulwich one - that one took ages to open because of all the interior work they had to do to the old Black Cherry/Draft House layout When I walk past Bill's in Lewes now it still looks like the original Bill's - but I would never go in there as it is in no way "local" now - just the same overpriced, under flavoured stodge they have rolled out across the  country  (that being said, the East Dulwich one has been there 10 years now - blimey. Time, eh?) Looking at random FM locations on streeview, 2015 seems to be the year they exploded everywhere (ED included)
