Hello

I'd like to take my daughter for her first haircut - she's 2 and a quarter. She has curly hair so it needs to be someone good with kids and curly hair! Anyone have recent experience of Little Clipper? Or perhaps somewhere in Forest Hill, Sydenham?

Thanks very much

My little girl is very, very curly and has only had a couple of haircuts even though she's five. I was never very happy with the way hairdressers hacked away at it! This time, I went to Hue on St David's Rd in Forest Hill (just behind Sainsbury's car park) and the man in there really took his time and did a great cut. Only ?9 too.
I would really recommend Carly (07903 241 170). I found her from threads on this forum. She came to the house last week and my 4 yr old and 2 yr old sat in front of peppa pig while I cooked dinner. It was the most peaceful haircut they have had and the best. It also cost the same as going to a salon. Amazing.

    • Hi, does anyone have their up to date number please?
    • I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.
    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.  If we were in Somerset and had a press, I'd consider it. Can't be that diffcult, can it?
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
