Any recommendations please - electrician, builder and plasterer

We're looking to get a bit of work done on our 3 bed house in the Herne Hill / North Dulwich area (possibly rewiring, replastering etc) and wondered if anyone had any good recommendations for local tradesmen. We're hoping to get work done during May and would really appreciate names of people you'd use again!

Cheers!

Rob

Gary Vu (electrician) was recommended to me on the forum, and he completed several small jobs for me. He was reliable, helpful and honest about his pricing. I will definitely use him again. If you do a search for him, you can find lots of other positive feedback for him.
Aaron for plastering. He does work to a very high standard, was reasonably priced on our job and clean, tidy and friendly. I used him recently and plan to ask him to do some more work soon. If you search on his name, you will see a fair few other recommendations. He was recommended by someone who had seen his work and thought he got a very good finish (he does). I would also recommend Gary for electrics (as I did in 2011 when he did some work for us) - his number is 07872178044. I got Gary's details from EDF and he lived up to the various recommendations.

I have just used Garret of Leah construction for the replastering and decorating of my bedroom and fitting a new bathroom for me. I was very happy with his work i have booked him to come out and do my bathroom in June, however i think he said he was fully booked until end of june now? - Not surprised!

Also meant to post a recommendation for Gary Vu, who did an excellent job wiring for the same. He was friendly and offered lots of useful advice as well as getting job done well, and even popping by on weekends to help us get finished in time for next part of job.

    • please report this to the police - were there any witnesses? She should face charges. the owner should not allow dogs off lead - I'm so sorry this has happened.  It would be good if you can identify her - are there cameras - in the cafes around? - follow her, find her address and report her. https://www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/ac/animal-crime/ also report to the park wardens so they can be found Your Local Council: Contact them to report issues in parks or public areas, especially if you know the dog or owner, as they investigate under local bylaws and the Dangerous Dogs Act. https://www.gov.uk/control-dog-public/report-a-dog
    • This is just dreadful.  Do you have this woman's contact details? These  are probably the last things on your mind at the moment while you are looking after your poor puppy, but firstly, the dog who attacked is  clearly both dangerous and out of control. Can it be reported to the police? Secondly, surely the owner is responsible for your vet bills? I do hope your puppy recovers quickly and so do you and your husband and children. It must have been really traumatic for all of you. Some people just shouldn't have dogs if they don't know how to train them.
    • Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. I am writing to seek advice and recommendations regarding a dental matter. I need to have my dental implant (UR1) removed due to ongoing issues and discomfort. If anyone has experience with this procedure or knows of a skilled dental professional who specialises in implant removal, I would greatly appreciate your suggestions. Additionally, any insights on what to expect during the process would be extremely helpful. Thank you in advance for your assistance! Best regards, Nicole
