SAS Style Training &.... Rehab Fitness - Dulwich Park

Recommended Posts

** SAS Fitness **

These are full-on high impact for 30-mins. Walking / cycling to the session is your 15-min warm up / warm down making it a total hour.

Your first 3-sessions will be easy going, measured and recorded as the base. This is a longhaul project so need everyone to work on a fixed 'Starting Point'.

Background within forensic science, international security, training triathletes since 1983, trained members of the armed forces, corporate, journalists and many others that have to be fit on their feet for action or motivated for pleasure.

** Rehab: MS, Stroke, Remission etc **

This is very low impact and 'YOU' set your objectives. I finished filming for a solicitors where their client had serious brain damage. After 2-years NHS rehab she was referred to me - she progressed from walking, jogging to just completing the 2014 London Marathon. My technique is based on Senior Management 'Lean 6-Sigma', using training methods from toning, to 'hand-eye' co-ordination.

The above session are ?20, with reductions if more than one person in the same time slot.

** FREE Peckham Rye sessions **

Saturday mornings at 10am, meeeting by the caf?. I'm a believer of providing at least 1 fitness session per week for the community. This has c.170 members, with an average turn-out of 25 ~ 30 each week. You can be a power walker, jogger or runner for this group as we work to short sections of 300m with 10-stops or so with an all over work-out. This thread can be found as 'Project London Heath' - just bring a 1Ltr bottle of water for arm, back and shoulder toning; also some change for a tea / coffee at the end.

There are more women doing this than guys - I'm suprised!

Look out for the really big guy in a purple top in the middle of Dulwich Park, I ensure you have as much privacy as possible.

OK, I don't do long runs - infact no runs at the moment, my sessions are in bursts. If you are a powerwalker, then at a powerwalking pace. If you are in remission, with a stroke, with FM or any other number of challenges then I manage this at your pace - no rolling around on grass.

If on the other hand you are super fit and want to drill into 'speed play', this was my starting point at Imperial College London. A forensic scientist at heart, I drill in to getting the best out of people.

I have a team at 9-30am tomorrow morning (Wednesday) - come along and meet them.

A lady who lost part of her skull was the commission for 'Drugs and Alcohol', 2-years NHS rehab, 6-months with 'Fitness Julia' in Dulwich Park, then I took over. She completed the London 2014 in 5Hrs!

I have some easy going and rehab sessions on Tuesday & Friday mornings - these are specifically 1 to 1 sessions.

On Monday mornings, I have a team who will be starting on 26th; there are round 6 ~ 8 so far, and will be very cardio and toing oriented.
