Junior stylist/trainee hairdresser wanted

Recommended Posts

We are a unisex salon on Forest Hill Road called The Galleon.

We have been around for one year in June.

Our most senior stylist and one of our owners, Mark Kay, was Head of Training at Trevor Sorbie for many years, and has a reputation for excellence within the industry which is unparallelled.

We have a vacancy for a Full Time junior, trainee to work a minimum of 4.5 days a week with a half day release for college.

Applicants need to have a serious and demonstrable interest in hairdressing and/or fashion.

You need to be well presented, punctual and polite and want a career in our industry.

You will be working hard over long hours, so a good work ethic is a must.

This is a tough business, and not for everybody.

It's very rewarding when you get it right.

There's nothing better than helping a client make the most of themselves.

Applications via email please (including a phone number where you can be reached) to [email protected]

    • They’ve backed away from pretending they produce their own goods recently. That claim sat at the centre of the misdirection for years. They’ve now accepted they can’t sustain it, so they’re beginning to highlight the local independent bakeries whose products they actually sell. The business is essentially a courier model running on a slim margin.
    • Another sparrow hawk visor to our cherry tree at the weekend.  Our robin survived, but we may be a sparrow down.     any thoughts on bird feeders & bird baths with the current bird flu?  I try to wash out the bird bath most days when at home, but not on the 3 days in a row that I’m in the office & the bird feeders rather less regularly. Would it be better not to have at all (as my partner thinks)?
    • OOOPS. My daughter just had to pay a five pound fine. I hadn't put a stamp on it. I remember wondering whether to use a  first or second class stamp,  and clearly when I posted it I still hadn't decided (but sadly didn't notice). I feel really bad for suspecting a postie might have  opened it.  Sorry posties.
