East Dulwich favourite 'The Voiceworks Company of Singers' are celebrating 10 years of joyful singing at the Goose Green Centre with an anniversary concert on Thursday 15th May @ 7pm at St John's Church, Goose Green. The concert is FREE. They will be singing for charity 'Kids Company', with a retiring collection. They recently won, along with their sister choirs in Eastbourne and Lewes, the Jaymar Cup at the Eastbourne Festival of Music and Arts with a score of 'Distinction'.

Their trademark sound is exuberant and rich, led by director Haley Stevens. Songs include a capella Spirituals, a Maori anthem, pop and music hall songs with 2,3 and 4 part harmony.

A definite must-hear for your first summer concert of the season.

The new term starts June 5th. We welcome any new, budding songbirds who want to feel the joyful vibe of singing in this extraordinary choir. Visit www.voiceworkshops.co.uk for further information, or call Haley on 01323 729379

If McCash really thought his defection could trash the Labour Party nationally, and it was loaded with invective and exhibitionism, then that's pretty much the definition of a "hissy fit"! Scooping the Green nomination for DaWN constituency is also going to be a lot harder for a Marxist arriviste than you suggest. There may be a wave of new, younger Polanski-ites that have joined the Green Party of E&W recently, but it's the long-standing, often retired members of the Party that tend to participate in candidate interview panels and bother voting in selections...
    • They've had 26 years or so of trading, and if anyone deserves decent retirement... In my view they're going out at the top. It's clearly being sold, assuming it all goes through as a very more more than just a going concern.
