This Thursday, stay local and have an extreme night out at the Horniman Museum and Gardens at our next after hours event for adults.

Extremes Late

Thursday 15 May, 6.30-9.30pm

Get your portrait drawn by satirical cartoonists Modern Toss in their special Photo Booth who also showcase a selection of their extreme installations, discover extreme objects from our collections, see acrobatics in the Gardens, hear Victorian folk tales in the Natural History Gallery and enjoy live music. As usual, the Horniman Cafe and bars will be open and street food will be next to the Conservatory. Find out more on our website.

Tickets are ?5. Beat the queues and buy your tickets in advance on our website. Over-18s only.

- Does anyone remember an incident from the late 90s/early 00s in which a young man fell to death from Dawsons Heights?

  Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
