Hi,

Wondered if anyone has experience of Istanbul with a little one. Our son will be 18 months when we go (Dec).

We would love to find accommodation that allows us to put him to bed and sit and chat for a bit without waking him! Especially in the old town as we're going to a wedding there. I'm trawling air bnb etc but it would be fab if anyone had suggestions...could just be a hotel room with an extra door! Has anyone found any other solutions?

Also any other advice or recommendations v much appreciated.

Thanks!

We went when my son was just two and we had a really wonderful time. It is such an amazing place and ridiculously child friendly due to people being so kind and friendly. We rented a flat in the centre of town on the owners direct website I think, I can dig out details if you like. It was so perfect for a toddler because of the trams, boats etc and so much to see there I'd love to go back sometime. And the best cakes ever!

    • The 185 is often the same. But that's why buses sometimes (and annoyingly) stop to "regulate the service". To be fair, it's often due to traffic conditions. If there is not much traffic, the one behind catches up with the one in front.
    • I imagine this is because of the average  additional time involved, due to the styles. You could have asked the reason? I will ask, next time I'm in there.  Many salons have this differential pricing.
    • Maybe a humidifier, or bowl of water near her bed might help. Sometimes dry air can cause a sore throat
    • Daughter needs surgery very soon but is getting sore throat in mornings I’m wondering if an air purifier might work… anyone recommends any? Wondering if I could borrow or buy one cheaply somewhere?
