Family Events at Harris Girls' Academy East Dulwich

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

I just wanted to highlight a couple of family-friendly events Harris Girls' Academy are holding at the end of June as part of their Literary Festival. It would be great if you wanted to come along. Both are free of charge, and should be a lot of fun!

Thursday 26th June, 7.30pm - Open Air performance of 'Treasure Island'

Touring theatre company 'Rain or Shine' will be presenting their exciting new adaptation of 'Treasure Island'. Come and sit out in the sun with a picnic to enjoy the tale of Jim Hawkins and Long John Silver!

Saturday 28th June, 1.00 - 5.00pm - Family Fun Day

We've got an afternoon of activities planned, with something for everyone. The renowned 'Comedy Club 4 Kids' will be doing their chidl-friendly standup comedy, workshops from Little Supanovas (drama) and the Cuming Museum (My Place in History), live music and poetry, local history talks and a host of stalls from local businesses.

Tickets for these events are available from Rye Books on Upland Road, or by emailing me on [email protected]. Do contact me on that address as well if you have any questions.

We've also got a number of other events taking place, all of which can be found listed on our website.

Very excited to be able to announce the acts performing at the 'Comedy Club 4 Kids' at Harris Girls' Academy on Saturday 28th June. it's all free, so pop on down at 2.30pm to see the show!

Luke Toulson will be MC - http://www.luketoulson.com/

And the acts will be Bec and Tom (http://becandtom.com/) and Three Half Pints (http://www.threehalfpints.co.uk/)

It should be a real laugh, and we'll have a variety of other things on offer throughout the afternoon.

Hi mariababe. Sorry, for some reason I forgot to ask the forum to send me emails when people replied.

Comedy Club 4 Kids is aimed at 6 - 11 year ols, but we will also be having a workshop from Little Supernovas, which is for the under 5s (these will both be at 2.30pm).

We're also going to be having fairground games, etc, for the whole family to take part in.

Entrance to the whole event is free.
