Local Job Opportunity with Photographers Agent

Recommended Posts

We're looking for someone for maternity cover 3 days a week in a Photographers Agents office, Wednesday to Friday with holiday cover as and when required.

We're a small business so everyone does everything - from answering the phone, making and attending appointments, costing and invoicing jobs, website management, social media management, liaising with the photographers and on the list goes...!

Ideally you'd come with experience of working in the advertising / design / media industry preferably related to photography but if not and you have a passion for photography and the willingness to learn then it'd be great to hear from you.

PM if you'd like to know more, get our website to check us out! Or send in your CV.

Hello,

I might be interested in this role, I am local (Holly Grove, near the station at Rye Lane). I am a well educated and youthful 56, an artist, until two years ago had extensive experience of administration, in arts, charity and central government. I left work as I did not like the culture of the organisation I was in. Since then I have been volunteering at The Soane Museum in central London and have done some admin for them, though mainly I have been a warder and done some work in the shop.

If you think I might fit the bill, I can send you my cv and perhaps you would send me your website link.

I do quite a bit of photography and had an exhibition in Peckham about a year ago and would therefore find your business interesting.

Yours sincerely

Georgina Carless

    • How long is a piece of string?  Depends whether you are building 'new towns' or brown field urban sites. I expect developers, planners and builders know far more than we do.  Where are you getting your information about infrastructure from ?  Your comment on new reservoirs seems more relevant to population expansion and/or climate change.
    • There was a previous thread about them about 6 months ago. Since then, they have been found guilty and fined for illegal street trading and collections in June in the City of London. https://news.cityoflondon.gov.uk/we-r-blighty-pleads-guilty-of-illegal-street-trading-and-collections-in-the-city/
    • The Government has set an ambitios target to build 1.5 million new homes bu the end of this 4 year term. Possibly unachievable due to various issues in the building industry but ambitious none the less.  What they seem to have failed to plan for, which was brought home by this year's drought, is adding more inferstructure including Reservoirs, power lines and sewerage treatment centres.  Ate they setting us up for more problems in the future?
    • If you know the layout of the Chequers estate, it is clearly unfeasible and logistically complex to project images onto the facade of the main building. Unless you are the military or something.
